  1. @SMI,
During registration, it requests only for company mail ID and the same when keyed IN appropriately, it says “CONTACT ADMINISTRATOR FOR benefits & related program code”

Gmail or any public mail ID is not acceptable..

    Any workaround is appreciated.

  2. @SMI-Absolutely mind blowing.You are a genius.Leaves nothing to chance,precision without dithering.Amazing.

That proves that it was my bad luck.I did everything right.Bcoz MS is so honest it would never debit if it thinks one is not qualified for any purchase. It had no problems first,it tried to debit when ICICI sent a SMS saying declined to pre-set limit of VCC. It was 999 after decreasing limit.Still it was above what was needed. When asked, bank said it was some error in the network.Clearly if the limit was way more, bank was foolish enough,it was bank who rejected for wrong reason. After that 2 tranx with diff IDs were rejected maybe bcoz card was same or same IP etc.It didn’t asked the bank to say Yes or No even after inputting same data and showed same error. This time MS caused the problem and rejected the tranx itself.

One more lesson, such offers are for some hours and one has to decide and act very swiftly.Otherwise result is bound to be disappointing.

After all failures when I tried to settle for 2010,time was over for both.Maybe second attempt with 2010 rather than 2013 could have yielded to a reasonable good outcome.Hope this offer will repeat and next time also I bank on your info and myself latching on it at the right time.

  3. @SMI-Too good. But nobody could have got anything.Three diff Email IDs,perfect, actual and unique US nos and addresses but all three got stuck after Confirm button even after entering all correct details. It seems it checks the country of the card and to have a US card is different and illegal.Like Amazon,it scrutinizes and now proof is whatever you do you CANNOT point to US in the top drop down unlike my 3 failed transactions where it stopped redirecting to India. It will come to India and old 2010 stuff.Even after using US proxy and stabilizing to US,it has started rejecting Gmail,Hotmail accounts.Problem is bigger.

Is there anything that can be done now and has anybody purchased with an Indian credit card. You can and will find out another way,I am sure for 2013.

  4. Select United States.

India: Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 Rs. 450
United States: Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 $9.95

  5. @vishal-this is not a freeware where you can and should have latest version. If 2013 version were not there, you would be emptying your full bank ledger.Like Adobe gave its full CS2. Should we ask why not CS6 for mankind sake.

@Lokesh-MS knows that and still love us Indians and graceful enough, why should we cry hoarse.

@SMI-Super brilliant find.Only you could do that. But when it automatically transferred to Indian flag and currency,it says 450 and asks for payment. After filling card details, should it become 550?If not amount is even less and fantabulous, isn’t it.
