  1. Recently my brother bought a mobile phone from Univercell. The phone was Rs.2000 cheaper from any online and offline seller.

    Almost 2 weeks had passed and the product was not shipped. As soon as I threatened them and i will file a credit card fraud the phone was shipped and reached me within 48 hrs.

    Similarly I had purchased air ticket from expedia.com. money was deducted but the ticket was not confirmed. for one month they insisted me that i need to talk with the airline for refund, but in reality airline had nothing to do with the refund.

    finally i filed a claim with my credit card and threatened expedia that i will file a fraud claim.the entire money was refunded within 3 days.

    had booked a hotel with ibibo.com, but the hotel did not acknowledge my booking instead the hotel kept me in a lower category chain hotel of their’s. ibibo refunded me the difference of money, even though initially they were not willing to do a partial refund.

    pepperfry also have done similar refunds to me.

    got to understand most merchants in india both online and offline are creeps trying to suck your hard earned money, so you have to fight. technically refund is more easier online.

    also try to avoid buying items which are large and difficult for you ship back to the seller.

    Always purchase online with your credit card. If you are unhappy with a purchase and you feel you are reasonable about your claim, simply call your credit card company or email them that you are not satisfied with your purchase, if your claim is genuine your credit card company will settle your demand.

    It is a part of master and visa card policy that any purchase claim has to satisfied and justified by the seller.

    Trust me I am an eCommerce Consultant.

    Really do not under how people lost money with timtara, buyers could have anytime filed a claim with credit card company.

  3. savemoneyindia.com, you are doing nice job by providing trusted site. I have marked you never displays discount from timtara.com which is now closed. many people money has been wasted in timtara.com,

    I trust you a lot than and . but many of my group also got problem from snapdeal.com. I can give more order numbers too. so please avoid snapdeal.com like you always avoided timtara.com

  5. I bought 1.1. tonne sharp air conditioner from snapdeal.com with
    order number 1003101971 placed on 21 may 2013.
    I got the product but installation kit sent was wrong (i.e. of 0.75 tonne air conditioner).
    I complained the same so many time (almost 25-30 calls) to customer care 09212692126. I always got a reply we are solving your problem and kit will be sent to you in 24 hours.
    Even I had talk with main supervisor Mr Sandip, twice. He also replied the same.
    But still the kit is not sent to me. I ordered a.c. product on 21 May 2013. The summer is almost over but still no proper kit was sent.
    I wasted almost rs 500 in phones. Also my family laugh at me “ki a.c liya but install next summer me hog kya”. Better not to purchase online.
